First and foremost, I would like to thank Cecilia for arranging the our wine tasting & our rides from and to the airport from Rome, along with also arranging our rental vehicle for the week. We did not get the opportunity to meet Cecilia because of the arrival of her bundle of joy!! But, I have to say that her parents were more than accommodating. Alma & Ivo were very gracious. From the lasagna Alma made on our first night at the villa to our dinner in the vineyard with Ivo grilling expertise of local meets. Buonissimo!! Oh! I forgot to mention we are Italian/Americans and were able to communicate with them!
This villa is a gem in the hills of Montepulciano! it has breathtaking views and the villa itself is not only clean but, rooms that are spacious and unique in their own special way. We enjoyed picking figs & grapes every morning for either breakfast or for a snack. Alla prossima! Until next time! Grazie!, U.S.A.HEAVEN IN TUSCANY
La Valiana is the perfect place for a small group of friends or family to vacation in Tuscany. This beautiful villa is located in a rural setting with a panoramic view of the Tuscan hillsides and vineyards and you can even see the Lake from the bedroom balcony on the top floor. The yard contains a beautiful garden and pool area. Our family of 8 stayed for a week and we all wanted to extend our stay. There are many historic towns, villages and cities with 30-60 minutes of the Villa.
We had a nice balance of cooking in [ using fresh vegetables and herbs from the garden ] and eating out during our daily excursions to the historic cities in Tuscany.
Our hosts were delightful helping with transportation, booking cooking classes winery visits etc. This was truly a perfect vacation home., CANADA
